The Security Watchdog of today not only promotes high standards of On-Site performance within the manned guarding industry through its growing membership and audit programmes. It now offers recruitment, pre-employment screening and control centre services both to the security industry and other businesses.
Nikaro - National Keyholding
NIKARO, the National Independent Keyholding And Response Organisation (NIKARO), operates the only national key holding and alarm response service with a network of nearly 200 local service providers.
We select leading independent security providers in each major town throughout the UK, and as the only such company to hold the prestigious NSI Quality Accreditation award for specialist keyholding and response services. All of our network members adhere to BS7499 and BS7489 and over 50% hold BS EN 9001:2000 - so you can rest assured that your property is in safe hands.
UKAS - Quality Management
As part of our commitment to the process of continual improvement, the company is now registered and certified to BS.EN. ISO 9001:2000. The International standard for Quality Management Systems. We chose to use The British Standards Institute (BSI) who are a body Belonging to the United Kingdom Accreditation Services.
BSI is one of the governing bodies, who will conduct assessments for the newly formed (SIA) Security Industry Authority Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) .
Select Security have now registered to become part of this initiative, providing our clients with the confidence of using a professional organisation.
SIA - Security Industry Authority
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) exists to manage the licensing of the private security industry as set out in the Private Security Industry Act 2001 . They also aim to raise standards of professionalism and skills within the private security industry and to promote and spread best practise.
The objective of the SIA's Approved Contractor scheme is to raise performance standards and to assist the private security industry in developing new opportunities. The scheme is voluntary and was developed in consultation with representatives from across the industry.
